MArk hodson

With over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry Mark has worked with some of the largest contracting firms in the country and has been involved in a number of prestigious construction projects.

Mark has a track record of establishing and negotiating contractual agreements and developing innovative contracting approaches, to achieve positive outcomes for his clients. He possesses a number of significant achievements in effective supervision, management and development of contracting and commissioning staff with the ability to deliver on aggressive targets and deadlines. He is an excellent negotiator, communicator and developing relationships at all levels.

DAVID HODSON

David has been with Laminar Engineering since 2019 and has taken up the position as Commercial Director since 2022.

David brings 20+ years of experience in a wide range of industries and delivery of landmark projects. David’s experience to date includes Electrical & Building Services design, on site electrical work and Project Management of large scale, high profile complex projects.

David has a degree in Building Services Engineering and is also a PRINCE2 Practitioner in Project Management

STEPHEN SHEEHAN

Stephen has been with Laminar Engineering since September 2021.

With over 30 years experience in the construction industry Stephen has worked with many of the large mechanical contractors in the country delivering a wide range of mechanical construction projects.

Stephen leads our project delivery teams from pre-construction to handover ensuring we are providing the right resources to deliver projects on programme and on budget to the highest standards. Having come from a trade background Stephen`s knowledge & experience is invaluable during thepre-construction/coordination phase of projects leading to a smooth installation.


MELISSA DAWSON

Melissa has been with Laminar Engineering since it was founded in 2018 and has taken up the position as Head of Finance in our business.

After taking a career break to raise her family Melissa returned into the construction industry with Laminar Engineering. Melissa has over 15 + years experience in the construction industry having worked in similar roles with two previous mechanical contractors and enjoys the opportunities and challenges that this industry continually presents.

Melissa is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company and works very closely with our commercial and operations teams to ensure a strategic and proactive approach to maintaining and growing our company’s revenue whilst building relationships with our clients and suppliers.

Paul Lumley

After working with a selection of Irelands leading Mechanical contractors, Paul started with Laminar Engineering in November 2022. 

Paul successfully completed his ordinary degree in DIT(TUD) and achieved his B. Eng (Hons) in Building Services in Glasgow Caledonian University. 

Paul has consistently combined both his Project Management experience along with his Engineering expertise to deliver some complex and challenging projects.Paul has recently successfully completed some medium and large Fan coil unit projects, clean room projects,  large shell & core projects, hotels & smart building projects

Lee Wood

project MANAGER

Lee started with Laminar Engineering in January 2021 and with an extensive background in air conditioning and refrigeration Laminar Engineering continue to benefit from his knowledge and expertise in these areas.

Lee has successfully delivered all mechanical services for a variety of projects including many office fit outs, co-living residencies and industrial developments.

While also efficiently delivering the above projects Lee is currently in the middle of obtaining a degree in Building Services Engineering with TUD.

DERMOT MANGAN

SITE SUPERVISOR

Dermot started with Laminar in March 2021 and brings vast experience and knowledge in many different sectors across the industry. As well as the experience gained while working with many of the industries other leading mechanical contractors, Dermot has successfully delivered many large fan coil unit fit outs, apartment development projects, clean room projects and process water projects for Laminar Engineering.

LES STERRITT

SITE SUPERVISOR

From March 2021, Les has been working with Laminar, bringing his extensive expertise and professionalism from working in diverse sectors within the industry. Les has successfully delivered numerous fan coil unit office fit outs, apartment developments and healthcare projects during his time with Laminar Engineering. 

GREG BYRNE

SITE SUPERVISOR

Greg has been working with Laminar Engineering since April 2021. After showing great leadership skills and initiative Greg successfully made the jump from plumber to site supervisor and continues to excel in the role. Greg has taken the lead on delivering office fit outs and also has experience with delivering large scale residential co-living projects

GRAHAM FITZGERALD

SITE SUPERVISOR

Graham started his Laminar experience in April 2023 and has demonstrated his strong leadership skills and technical knowledge in a variety of projects including high end hotel projects, office fit outs and university education projects.
